Electro-mechanical Actuator

Electro-mechanical actuators are a cost effective system solution for blow molding due to lower maintenance costs and high efficiency. Each includes a mechanical converter coupled to a Moog designed and built brushless servomotor that is controlled by a stand-alone Moog servodrive The Electric Parison Actuator is available in 1 ton, 3 ton and 9 ton versions and has a standard stroke of 12 mm [.5 inches]. Moog provides a large choice of force and speed options and specializes in offering custom solutions to meet unique requirements.

Hydraulic Parison Actuator

Parison Actuators for blow molding machines are an example of Moog's customized design and production capabilities for the plastics industry. These products integrate Moog's Servo-Proportional valves with a DCDT for stroke position. The result is a precision control of the die gap position on blow molding machines.
