Moog’s S-TEC® Autopilot Certifies on Metroliner Aircraft
S-TEC 3100 Autopilot Approved for Fairchild Swearingen Metroliner
Mineral Wells, TX (July 17, 2024) – Genesys Aerosystems, a Moog Inc. company, announced today that Genesys Aerosystems’ S-TEC 3100 attitude-based digital autopilot has completed STC certification for the Fairchild Swearingen Metroliner aircraft. Specific models include the SA226-TC, SA227-AT, SA227-AC, SA227-BC, SA227-CC, SA227-DC.
The 3-axis S-TEC 3100 autopilot provides next generation digital performance upgrades and operational capability improvements to Metroliner operators including envelope protection and altitude preselect.
The Metroliner is a 19-seat, pressurized, twinturboprop, airline aircraft serving passengers across destinations globally.

About the S-TEC 3100 Autopilot
The S-TEC 3100 brings enhanced features such as automatic trim, envelope protection and alerting, one button straight and level recovery, indicated airspeed hold and altitude preselect. The S-TEC 3100 comes standard with traditional autopilot modes like lateral (GPS, VOR, LOC, HDG, LPV, FMS) and vertical (GPS, LPV, GS, VS, ALT) navigation. With the mixed cockpit aftermarket, the S-TEC 3100 also supports many 3rd party EFIS displays as well as integrating its own internal ADHRS should an EFIS not be installed.
