Moog In The Community

Moog is proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity Buffalo, recently holding a groundbreaking ceremony for a new affordable home in the Schiller Park neighborhood. The event marked the beginning of construction on a house that will provide a safe and stable home for a family in need. Construction will proceed over several months and will involve teams of Moog volunteers working alongside Habitat Buffalo staff and the community to complete the home by April 2025.

Europa Clipper: Unleashing the Potential for Life on Another Planet in our Solar System

One of the most critical elements for this ten-year journey is Europa Clipper’s propulsion system which is home to Moog bipropellant rocket engines. Moog also has four high pressure latch valves which help provide critical fuel and oxidizer isolation ability and flow control to the propulsion subsystem.

Where he dived into electrohydraulic, electrohydrostatic, and electromechanical options and how to choose the optimal actuation technology for unique subsea needs.

Moog Celebrates First Flight of its New Actuators Successfully Steering United Launch Alliance’s Vulcan Rocket During Inaugural Launch

Vulcan’s inaugural flight lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida on January 8, 2024 at 2:18 a.m. ET.  Moog designed and manufactured new hydraulic actuators for the thrust vector control system first stage main engines.

Moog enables new capabilities at NASA Marshall Spaceflight Center by installing a custom precision motion control system X-Ray & Cryogenic Facility (XRCF) vacuum chamber. It offers 16 degrees of freedom and can handle payloads up to 4,000 kg!
