Overview

FEATURING AN INNOVATIVE 8 POCKET HYDROSTATIC BEARING

While other actuators have the traditional 4 pocket bearing design, the Moog Hydrostatic Bearing Hydraulic Servo Actuators include an innovative 8 pocket hydrostatic bearing design. This yields much improved side load test capabilities up to 60% of stall, compared to traditional 4 pocket actuators which are limited to side loads up to 40% of stall.

  • Moog’s new 8 pocket design increases your test capabilities significantly
  • Higher forces can be reached with less leakage flow
  • Use less oil with lower maintenance
  • The Moog Hydrostatic bearing actuator requires a smaller HPU for a compact and cleaner hydraulic application over traditional designs

ADVANCED CUSHION DESIGN FOR HIGHER RELIABILITY AND SAFETY

Moog Engineers took a traditional actuator design and made significant improvements to develop a truly better cushioning system. The actuator incorporates this advanced design to ensure safety and prevent equipment damage. This actuator series features a cushion at each end to ensure that the actuator will be decelerated before reaching end of stroke in both directions.

  • Dampens force for test reliability
  • Each cushion design is physically tested to ensure proper functioning
  • Provides true active cushioning in a properly sealed system
